On the sixteenth of August in 1977 Mr Elvis Presley passed away on the toilet. But on that day, and in that very same hour, Kelvis Paisley was born. (If you count transatlantic time.) It’s been said before, and it will be said for about five minutes to come, that Kelvis was born to replace the king of rock ‘n’ roll. Now the king of cabaret in his own right, Kelvis is the front man and heart-throb of the band. Always ready with a cheeky smile, a lewd quip, or a pornographic dance move, but only if you count transatlantic time.
He’s cute, he’s innocent, and he’s irresistible. He can sing as well. At least, that’s what Kelvis will tell you. Are any of these things true? Dunno really - that Kelvis’ll tell you just about anything. What is apparent is that the Face plays guitar, harmonica, and yes – attempts to sing now and again. Most of the time he just stands around looking half as old as he actually is. This makes him about fifteen by my reckoning.
That’s Doctor Vibes to you. The guy’s got a PHD in vibeology, from the Université de Cabaret in Paris, no messing. Whether ripping it up on the keyboard, rapattacking, or just plain clap, clap clapping, this geezer IS the vibe. Alright stop, collaborate and listen. Vibes is back with a brand new invention. He just hasn’t told us what it is yet…
When asked for a quote for this website, G-Man exclaimed, “I'm the kinda G the little homies wanna be like . On my knees in the night sayin' prayers in the street light!” What does it all mean? Don't ask, but do ask… Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's G-Man, a drum–hitting superhero with all the amazing powers of the letter G! G-Man is all important to Groovy Revolution, not least because without him they'd be Roovy Revolution, and that just doesn't make any sense.
Diesel used to be a Vin Diesel impersonator. He had to give it up, not because he doesn’t look like Vin Diesel (he does – it’s uncanny), but because nobody knows who the hell Vin Diesel is. The Fast and the Furious? Not seen it. XXX? What are you on about? The Chronicles of Whatisname? Do me a favour. In fact, Vin Diesel is probably mentioned more times on this page than he is on the whole of the rest of the internet. Anyway, our Diesel plays bass these days. Fast, furious, XXX-rated bass. And watch out ladies, he’s a tiger.
In 1992 a crack beat combo was sent to rock school by a magistrate’s court for crimes against music they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the South Manchester underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as the best party band in the world. If you have a musical problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire Groovy Revolution.
Groovy Revolution are a young, dynamic five-piece covers band ideal for any venue/ occasion. All aged between 21 and 29, they have been together for many years and have been full time professionals for the last four. They perform classic party tunes from the 60’s to present day, incorporating anything from Elvis to MC Hammer, with the emphasis on energy and fun. The band has extensive experience at home and overseas of performing at corporate functions, weddings, parties, pubs, clubs, hotels, universities and holiday camps.
